When a team is functioning at maximum potential, it’s a beautiful thing. There’s shared vision, focus, trust, and an energetic drive. Every person is pulling their weight the same direction — ready, willing and anxious to go forward. The team loves coming to work and is bursting with excitement to accomplish their job.

Have you ever watched a team of sled dogs? They are masters at working together as a team with focus and energy pulling towards a common goal. Their leader (the musher) knows their strengths and skill sets, putting them in the position that best benefits the whole team.

There are many parallels between a high-functioning team of people and a team of sled dogs. We are partnering with Wintergreen Dogsled Lodge in Ely, MN to offer an experiential Leadership Adventure Trip. This impactful experience will look at lessons learned from the sled and the power of high-functioning teams.

Why Dogsledding?

This adventure will focus on:

  • Vision & Focus: Are you a leader with a clear vision of the trail ahead? What’s your vision and how do you communicate it to your team?

  • Communication: Do you effectively communicate to your team? Are they hearing your messages?

  • Effectiveness: Is your team trained and equipped for the trail? Is your team tethered together to accomplish amazing feats?

  • Trust: Does your team trust your vision? Your decisions?

  • Drive & Perseverance: Are your team members inspired with drive to run the race? What is your role to inspire them?
